The AAO Political Action Committee (AAOPAC)
The AAO Political Action Committee (AAOPAC) was established in 1994 to amplify the voice of the specialty of orthodontics and profession of dentistry in the federal government. All members are encouraged to donate to the AAOPAC. Here is how the AAOPAC works:
- AAO members contribute to the AAOPAC
- The AAOPAC pools members’ money and donates to federal candidates that support orthodontic issues
- Federal candidates use our contributions to get re-elected
- We form relationships with the politicians we donate to and they continue to support issues important to orthodontists

American Association of Orthodontists
The SSO is a member organization representing two constituents of the American Association of Orthodontists. The AAO represents 19,000 orthodontist members throughout the United States, Canada and abroad. Membership in the AAO comes with a wealth of academic and professional resources, as well as access to a large support network of orthodontists, students, affiliates, and other dental and orthodontic professionals throughout the country.
